St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church of Apex
Life Together
Prayer
In addition to our regular Sunday Eucharists, St. Elizabeth’s gathers for compline (the last prayer service of the day) on most Wednesdays at 8 pm. We also celebrate the Eucharist on some of the major feast days of the church and at other times, including Christmas Eve. For an update schedule of services please check our calendar. The church is also open for quiet individual prayer on Fridays from 7am-9am, with Morning Prayer said (and sometimes sung) at 7:30am.
Study
At St. Elizabeth’s, the things we study together range from Scripture, to church history, to readings on particular topics such as the Christian practice of hospitality. We gather most Wednesday evenings at 7 pm for discussion and reflection on whatever topic we are considering. In addition, we often have book group discussions on Sunday mornings. In all of these studies we seek to deepen and broaden our practice of Christian discipleship.
Fellowship
In Acts we read that the earliest Christians continued in the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. We take all of those seriously at St. Elizabeth’s—and we take particular joy in breaking bread together! Every Sunday following the 10:00 service we gather to enjoy a potluck brunch together, a continuation of the meal and celebration begun at the Lord’s Table during the Eucharist. We welcome all to come and be fed! Breakfast is also available for all during Food & Faith Fridays (from 7-9am).
